I agree that they do count as transformers, they do transform dont they?
I just got the Soundwave MP3 and think he's great! I got no probs with him, as for the shoes, its more proof that the other big companies see Transformers as icons to show off themselves (another example is Pepsi Prime and the Convoy Ipod Dock)

Yes and Yes.
As retardedly stupid an idea that I reckon that transforming shoes are, they and the music label count as;
1. They transform.
2. They are tak-tomy/hasbro labeled.
3. They are transformers brand licensed.
