The MP Starscream mould is the exception. Other MPs aren't as fragile (although Megatron would be the second least durable) and are hardier as action figures. Kawamori Shouji seemed to be more concerned with creating a transformable display piece rather than an action figure.![]()
At the time Takara would probably justify this decision by saying that Masterpiece is part of their High End collectable lines which are marketed exclusively at mature collectors (ages 15+) and thus weren't expecting their customers to expect playability from the toy. A lot of people complained about it and HasTak have tried to improve on the MP Starscream design as all subsequent versions of that mould have featured improved durability such as the use of better plastic.

So I can see griffin's concern about a version of what is already a mould of dubious durability being made from entirely clear plastic... it may prove to be nearly as (or even more?) fragile than the original MP Starscream. :/
