LocusHK have the best deal currently I think. I can't personally vouch for them as I've never used them before.
Which brings us to where we are today...

I don't have a Toynami, but you can see it pictured above. The Bandai Hi-Metal is like a refined 1/60 v2. It has minimal skeleton diecast and requires some parts swapping.

The Toynami 1/100 cost was $50 for #1-#3 and for #11-#13.

For #4-#6 they were $50 too without the Super Weapons Pack

The SW pack was about $50 delivered for 4 VFs from BBTS.

As to the quality, the Toynami is OK, not fantastic. You pay for what you get.

However, the SW pack, various hands and decals are great.

I dont know how much the Hi Metal 1/100 are.

    I googled Hi-metal - it's Bandai Hi-Metal

    http://www.toyark.com/news/macross-t...-gallery-2655/

At 5,775 yen(MSRP) it equates to about $65, so if we see this in OZ it will be$100!

In looking at the article, it looks much better than Toynami!

    Here is a Youtube review

All up - it is very solid!

If your going to spend a $100 on a Valkyrie, I'd wait till HLJ or Amiami have one on sale, and get a 1/60 one. The last 1/60 I got was $100. They have sales pretty regularly too.
