    Default Storage solutions.

Im sure this has been discussed before but i can find a thread on it.

Im putting all my figures other than my G1s and Masterpiece into storage- Only because im running out of room for them all. From now on im going to display any new stuff for a bit and then it will go to make room for new stuff.

Anyway- i bought some starmaid 50L storage containers and was going to stick them all in Snaplock bags in their alt modes and stack them in there. Biggest at the bottom and moving to smallest at the top. The thing im worried about is possible distortion of the figures. Im kind of thinking so long as they dont get hot and that they are stacked propperly they should be fine.

    What do people think?

Perhaps id be better packing them in something- perhaps those little styrene packing things?

Im probably just paranoid- but i do like my figures to line up. If it was G1s i probably wouldnt even worry about it - they seem to have a lot more structural integrity!

Oh and by the way there was some debate on other factors about storage discussed in this thread which was very interesting:

After just stacking all of my cybertron deluxes in a plastic container, the only thing I can really tell you to be careful of is translucent plastics, (obviously), (don't store longarm on crosswise), and soft rubber plastics, eg; the tailfins on thundercracker, mine bent a little. Otherwise, whatever.

I didn't ziplock bag my figures, the plastic bags can scratch, I only ziplock bagged instructions/accessories. Great way to get instructions flat without ironing them.

Im actually thinking of skipping the ziplocks now, might put a layer of something soft over every level of figures.

Gah... I absolutely _refuse_ to put any of my Transformers into storage. Are you sure there's no other way you can keep your toys free? :/

Don't zip lock anything G1 with stickers. You run the risk of trapping moisture in the zip lock bag and over time the stickers may attract fungal growth in the form of tiny lines that look like veins.

I keep my transformers in storage in cardboard or plastic containers with a few silica gel satchels.

Bubblewrap works well, provided that it's clean.
