Unreal Engine has become a bit of a standard in game developing due to its alleged flexibility. The Quake III and Doom 3 engines lost to it as an standard as they were much more limited when it came to large environments and multiple characters on screen.
Would be good to have the Unreal Engine, it works well. I recently bought the Unreal collection and haven't had a problem. Plus it's fun
