Default TFCC club's shipping cost just shocked me

I just heard about Transformer Collector Club yesterday here and thought that is a good thing to join.

So I joined. And want buy a animated freeway deluxe Jazz from them, $10.99, not bad.

And then, they were going to charge me $72 for shipping.

So I changed shipping address to my US forwarder in TX. The shipping cost reduced to many other options as low as $7.95. (But if I buy, I also have to pay postage from forwarder to AU).

I hope the free Dion won't asked me to pay postage at $72.

Dion's postage and the postage for the six club magazines is included in the membership cost. If you want Punch or Shattered Glass Cyclonus expect to pay high postage costs though.

I have an account in www.usa2me.com. After join, they will provide a valid US post address, whatever is sent to that address, they will forward to my AU address at a charge. They charge 30 US dollar for first pound(450g) and 5 plus for every additional pound.

So I will have to pay a US local postage and usa2me charge to receive the item. This proves more expensive if I buy from amazon, but looks will be cheaper than TFCC's charge.

I used to use a USA address for my club membership and then they changed the rules. So now even though I brought the membership ... my friend in the USA is the one who owns it and has the benefits because he lives at the USA address.

Try convining the club they got it wrong .. turned into a nightmare.

The bad thing is, I want Dion and Punch/Counterpunch.
    So I'll probably re-join.

The Club is evil to anyone who doesn't live in the USA.

    B@$T@RD$!!!

I even considered joining so that I could grab Dion and Punch/Counterpunch, but with the shipping costs for stuff, it probably would work out cheaper getting them off e(vil)bay!

I was going to join but then I read all the nonsense you have to go through if you don't have an American issued credit card.
Dammed if I'm sending them a photocopy of my CC and ID.
That practice has lead to ID fraud in the past (and as such was banned here, so I'm told. you would think it would be banned there too...).

Another option is sending them a money order in US funds which might be the best way to do things.
I'm assuming I can just get a money order from Australia post in US dollars and that would be fine.

Using a mail forwarder is most likely the best way to save on rediculous postal charges when dealing with TFCC.

I have wanted to join but was put off with such unfriendly policies towards foreigners - They are so ridiculous that its almost as if they are intentionally trying to discourgae non US memebers from joining.

I wasn't asked to send ID or other stuff, I just swiped my credit card.

The shipping address can be changed everytime I buy. The cost is recalculated every time.

I just haven't try bought anything yet. Maybe I will try next month. Too many transformers this month.

You don't happen to have a US issued CC do you?
If not maybe I'll try, you never know they might only care about the ID stuff if you bring attention to it...
