There were about a hundred Hasbro/Kenner Beast Wars toys.

wow, that's alot more than i was expecting ...
we're they all released in Australia?
About half of them were. Start at the bottom of this page and move up:

wow, we really never got tigatron or blackarachnia?, i never knew that
Yeah - we missed out on about a year's worth of toys because Hasbro changed the country of their to-Australia distributors. Weirdly at the time, Australian Target used an image of Tigatron in one of its catalogue toy sections (which got me excited, but sadly the toys never appeared. To this day, I don't know how or why Target had a picture of a loose Tigatron toy).
After going through this List (http://www.tfu.info/series/bw.htm) i have counted that i have 19 out of 145 (unless i misscounted)
i used to have alot more but they have all either lost too many parts to count, are completly lost, or are broken
i remember i used to own snapper, rattrap, transmetal rattrap, Dinobot, and a few others but now ratrap is broken, snapper is missing every part except for it's main body, transmetal rattrap is missing it's robot mode legs and half it's beast mode head, and i've completly lost dinobot
(sigh) i guess that's what happens when you give a cool toy to a 5 year old
I was living in Japan when Beast Wars came out, so I didn't notice which toys we missed here.Although Japan didn't get some figures like Razorbeast (so I had to hunt them down later), but we did get some cool stuff like Shadow Panther and the Volcano playset.
The funny thing was that Australia got the European packaging with the early BW toys, which a lot of people didn't like - primarily because their tech specs sucked... but for me they were kind of a novelty since I was more used to the American and Japanese packaging. The first BW Transformer I bought in Australia was Inferno; and I really liked his European box. But then one day my dad tried to throw it out. I retrieved it from the recycling bin, but then later on when I was out he chucked it out again, and by time I got him it had been collected by the garbage truck! NAAWWWWW!!
Ah well.![]()
