Now I think about it - from its Latin meaning and mythology and symbolism, it would make sense if Aequitas was Rack'n'Ruin.

I had a similar thought but the meaning of the name is still vague enough to possibly be something else. They are also in a big chamber looking up as if they are looking at something big or high up.

I'd considered that, but we don't necessarily know how big certain characters are in the IDWverse though. Plus the whole thing could be a parody of looking up in dull surprise as a cliffhanger only to discover next issue that it's someone ironically small flying around or on a high ledge.

Hey Sky Shadow, would you be able to lend your knowledge of Latin in helping to answer my Latin queries here? Thanks.

I still reckon that Aequitas is a person and not a thing.
Garrus-9 is afterall a prison. High security "items" are not usually stored in a prison.
but meh... im just rambling out loud and could be completely wrong.
