One of my colleagues auditioned for the show (on the geek side). The geeks are given a completely new wardrobe that they have to wear and are instructed to act as awkward or nerdy as required. It's a pretty safe presumption the same level of control is applied on the beauty side so don't feel too bad. It's all showbiz.

To top it all off, he actually got tapped on the shoulder to audition after the producers saw his video application for the Amazing Race.

There's always Blood And Chrome. It has it's moments.

In other news, it appears that Marcia Wallace passed away today. No more Ms Krabappel on The Simpsons.

After watching nothing but kids shows for the past 9 years I've turned to some adult dramas to keep me awake at night while I work.
Watched all of Breaking Bad and Homeland in the last month which is quite something considered I've watched nothing but My Little Pony, Phineas and Ferb and Pokemon for the last however many years.
My brains not sure it can handle it though.

Add Sons of Anarchy to that list as well man! One of the best shows around.

I've still to watch Breaking Bad, but am watching the new Sons of Anarchy and catching up on Arrow.

Though Arrow does have admittedly bad acting and is too much about relationship drama it is a guilty pleasure to watch. (Plus the ladies are sexyyyy and the cameos from Deathstroke are awesome)

Also for anyone that's a fan of old-school badass-ery, brutal fights and frequent sex scenes I'd recommend the show Banshee. A great nod to the 80s type of action films.

Arrow has to be the greatest turn around in quality I've ever seen in a show, borderline un-watchable at the start, but by the end of season 1 I was hooked.

Agreed The first 5 episodes were pretty average but then it gets really interesting. I've started season 2 and so far it seems to be a lot darker i.e. more adult e.g. Doll Maker episode.

I'm still thrilled that they're developing Hourman.

I wonder if he'll start off in Arrow, like they're doing with Flash?

I'm catching up on Criminal Minds as I've come to the party quite late. Last night I watched the 100th episode which is the climax of "The reaper" storyline. As a husband and father this episode was so intense. I'm still a bit rattled from it today.
