Megan Fox never HAD any sex appeal for me. Personal things aside, the attempts at sex appeal (e.g. opening 'Bee's car hood in the first film) were so forced and blatant that it rendered them more laughable than sexual.

I don't really know which actress I'd like to see in the next TF film, but I know that I'd like one who can act well, with CGI robots as well as with people. I want someone who I actually want to care about because of how they act in-character.

In the special features on the ROTF DVD, Michael Bay explains that he got the idea for having Fox gratituously leaning over the motorcycle after a conversation with some teenage kids he bumped into at a shop.

That is because she is not an actress (yet) she has done modeling for DKNY Jeans, Garnier, Levi's, Motorola, Urban Outfitters, LG Electronics and Victoria's Secret and appeared on the cover of Biba.

That would be why.. i to agree with Gok Magda's acting ability is quite good some decent comic relief wouldn't be a bad idea.

In the spirit of the original question, I'd be quite happy to see Rose Byrne in Transformers 3 thankyou very much.

Depends on what kind of character she's playing. If the character has spoken lines and has significantly notable screen presence, then yes, I absolutely care about her ability to act. I can excuse crummy acting perhaps if her character isn't human, like with Alice. I thought Isabel Lucas' acting was rather ordinary, but since she was portraying an alien robot pretending to be human then I can suspend disbelief in her rather lacklustre delivery.
