Not that I'm complaining. I'm just glad we'll be getting an Animated Ironhide toy. If he comes with no accessories then I'll still be very very happy.

Probably to make a differentiation between the normal Earth-mode, and to show-off the show-accuracy. There are more differences in robot-mode as opposed to alt-mode.

The vehicle mode does stand a bit tallaer as well. Iwould hazard a guess that it is too bulky.

ANyhoo, been mucking wound with a new photo editor and decided to share my handy work. (as it is....)

    Old and Young face compare.

I prefer to get the Ironhide repaint... which if Hasbro fails to bring out, I will get the Takara version instead.

I actually didn't mind this figure too much, though I did not like him as much as either his earth-form or the Ironhide version. But, like Optimus from Animated, it is nice to have versions of both their Cybertronian and Earth forms.

This figure is pretty much inferior to the Earth mode one in every respect, though they have done well to make it look like he did in the cartoon, and the defibrillator paddles are a nice touch, though not as cool as the tools you get with regular Ratchet.

My advice? Only get if you are a completist. Getting the Terran-mode Ratchet and Cybertronian-mode Ironhide is more than enough. Then again, I can't say I'm regretting having him on my shelf one bit so maybe grab him if you find him on ebay cheap

Wow, I can't believe I didn't plug my blog post on this guy.

Oh, there, I have done it now

I think the mould is superior to Earthen mode Ratchet as it is remarkably dynamic, but then I admit I prefer it as Ironhide. I think Ironhide lends himself to more action-y poses and suchlike over Ratchet. Still gotta admit I like it as it rather enhances the older, more tired and beat up aspects of Earth mode Ratchet.

Eeeh, I already have Ironhide. Not enthralled with this mould enough to own another version of it. Earth mode Ratchet will do me fine.
