    Exclamation Nissan 370Z, thoughts?

    Hey guys,

Been thinking about replacing my car for sometime now and nothing has really caught my eye.

I quite like the look and drive of the 370z though, so I've been seriously considering getting one, any thoughts (or suggestions) from other car buffs?

(Parameters are that it has to be sub-$70k, near new or new and has sporty performance)

    BMW 135i. Similar Price
    0-100 in 5.3s (Quicker than 370z)
    100kg lighter than 370z.
In line 6 twin turbo. Same engine as Z4 and 335.
However if your a track day man, 135 has NO mechanical Limited Slip Diff.
    She's a one wheeler.

Yeah I looked at both of those ~ not a fan of their styling or the associated maintenance costs either.

Yep, go the Z. It is a car on my list too if I had that sort of budget.

You'd only go mercedes and co for over 100k. And I've never liked Audis. In fact, I'm not much into any euro trash. They're too boring and generic and too many have rattlers. Japanese styling all the way.

I second the Z! Go Megatron!

    You have a couple of choices in that sub-70k mark... 2010 Evo, 2009 Caterham 7, 2009 Elfin, 2010 Elise S 111

This was my reference -> http://www.carsales.com.au/new-cars/...ies_String%7C0

Evo - no thanks... not particularly keen spending that sort of money for a car based on a $25k shopping trolley

Caterham 7 - great for the track, but it's not something I could drive every day.

Elise - $70k for a Proton wrapped in fibreglass and powered by a Celica motor? Awesome performance, but a bit too much of a kit car for my liking.

Seems like the Zed is the only one on the list at the moment, unless I want to go back to another Rx-8.

Not had good experiences with the RX8 then? That was going to be my suggestion.

Or you could grab a VE SS Commodore and strap a big mother supercharger on it. That'll get you 400KW and lots of opposite lock.....

EDIT: 44k for an ss, plus 12k for stage two supercharger and tuning.
    $56k for 500kw
