Wanted AM partner Vanguard, Myclones Dirge, G1 Victory Leo, e-hobby Dark scream ( the black version), e-hobby Magnificus

I am only aiming for US G1 too. I do collect the Euro and Japanese releases but I have no intention to 'collect 'em all'. I only grab the ones that have some sort of appeal to me or opportunity buys. Aside from that, I will regard my G1 collection complete once I finish with the US line but still pick up the odd Euro or Japanese toy when the opportunity arises.
I did something similar with Beast Wars - Once I got all the show characters, I considered my BW collection as complete. The 'extra' toys I have gotten have been either opportunity buys or specific non-show/Japanese releases which appealed to me.
I don't blame you guys for not wanting to collect G1. If I had to start collecting G1 now I wouldn't bother.
I have 525 G1 Transformers. Although that's according to the Universal Counting Method and not the counting parameters that kup established for this thread. It's mostly similar but there are some differences like I count Reflector as 3 not 1, and Blackout and Spaceshot count as 2 not 1. According to the parameters of this thread I would have 388 G1 TFsOriginally Posted by Autocon

Counting the Seacons etc twice could be considered a little pedantic unless one collects MISB. Which we all know Gok would never do! (:
Eagerly waiting for Masterpiece Meister
This count is not about how many toys are in a collection but how many toys are in the line. You wouldn't count the gestalts because they are not an extra toy, they are made up from the individual combiner team members.
Just a query? In the 1984 count - there's 19 autobots, but Ive counted from catalogs to the Identification guide, to memory there's only 18.. who's the 19th? Bumper?
coz theres.
Optimus Prime
Wheeljack
Trailbreaker
MIrage
Ratchet
Ironhide
Sunstreaker
Sideswipe
Jazz
Bluestreak
Prowl
Hound
Gears
Bumbleebee
Cliffjumper
Windcharger
Brawn
and Huffer
Also I get a variant count on
1987 autobots - I count only 28 ( including the TM versions of Kup, Hotrod and Blurrwho's the 29th?
1988 Decepticons - 32 only instead of 33 - Overlord?

In 84 the 19th Autobot is indeed Bumper/Bumblejumper.
I'll get back to you on the others later as I am falling asleep at the momentbut remember that i did say that there could be errors. I will verify them tomorrow.
