    Lightbulb The Bludgeon-Nobori-Design Thread.

As we are doubtless all aware, the latest NEST line has a particularly sweet-looking (IMO) Bludgeon toy, in the style of a skeletal robotic samurai. In robot mode, Bludgeon has hip-mounted scabbards (well, holes) for his daisho (katana and wakizashi), as well as two scabbards in his back. Yet he has only two swords. If you choose to leave them in his hip scabbards for that more 'authentic' samurai look, you can either leave his backpack open or close it up as you prefer. If you leave it closed with the tank barrel behind his head, this raises an interesting possibility - Bludgeon can have a nobori!

I'm planning on doing this myself, but my PC image-making skills are crap so I'll have to do it by hand and that's not useful for anyone else...Luckily, we have lots of talented PC artists here and a creative area to boot, so...

This thread is for any fan-made images of possible nobori for everyone's favourite electric samurai. Make 'em and post 'em peoples, largely courtesy of Goki this page has a variety of Japanese characters for Bludgeon, Destron, and other words and/or images that may be useful, or see below

All kanji courtesy of babelfish and/or the TF wiki, so anyone thinking of actually doing this might want to check with Goki as to their accuracy (or whether they are all kanji as opposed to hiragana or katakana, not that it makes a big difference).

The word "Destron" is in Katakana and all the other words you've typed are in Kanji. Well, except for "90" which is obviously in Hindu-Arabic numerals. If you want to go full Kanji you could write 九十式戦車.
Some nice random by the name of minikoto has free downloadable step-by-step instructions on how to make your own mini-nobori, what we're basically looking for is a double-sided, mirrored image.
If you're stuck for ideas, a quick Google search for nobori, oni, samurai, demon samurai, or any terms of a similar nature yield quite a few good results. Just watch that copyright infringement!

I don't have Bludgeon myself yet so I'm not sure as to what the best dimensions would be - if anyone with the toy could post these that'd be much appreciated. Likewise, if someone could get measurements for the tank barrel for making the pole and cross-rod that'd be great too.

"Destron" would be trademarked, but regular words from the Japanese language aren't.

Here's a suggestion: 電子戦士 (denshi senshi) - it means "electric warrior" which is G1 Bludgeon's function. You could also have 電磁戦士 (denji senshi) which means "electro warrior" and has a cooler (more complex) looking second Kanji.
