I opened mine and had a little play with it. The quality is good but its not the same as the original G1 Headmasters. However it is indeed nicely molded with no defects that I can see but the plastic is of a different kind than the original. It's up to you to decide your preference but it's certainly not inferior just different but one thing is certain, the different plastic does indeed make this product noticeably different from HasTak's G1 Headmaster heads so it doesn't have a 'from the same toy line' feel.
Although this new plastic is not as glossy as the original headmasters and more mat, it does seem to be stronger and more flexible therefore tolerant to cracks and other brittleness issues that plagued the originals.
Overall a nice little toy and given the price and concept, it's pretty nifty for a 'G1' Headmaster and certainly better than the standard '87 Nebulan ones.
Since this guy has no fiction whatsoever and looks so different from the other Headmasters, I like to consider him a Transtector thief just like the Animated Headmaster. Cobra crawls (rolls) hidden and waits for the Nebulan/Master component to disconnect and that's when Cobra makes his move and steals himself a new body!
