Default The good the bad and the ugly

    The Good

    Attachment 1789

Wheeljack made from Sunstreaker (with a modified head) and Bumblebee arms. His 'wings' are a Jazz car door cut in half and his gun is what remains of a Thundercracker cannon.
While painting it I realised the factory-applied Autobot symbol is off-centre.

    The Bad

    Attachment 1787

Emirate Xaaron made from an Ironhide body (with a modified chest), Blaster arms and Megatron head.
I haven't painted his crown detail yet. This one isn't doing anything for me. The body's too thick, it's too hunched over, the gold is too streaky, nyarrrr

Altho, previewing this post, it doesn't look too bad in the pic.

    The Ugly

    Attachment 1788

    Hey, I got bored.

    Default Ravage: eject. Operation: customisation

    Attachment 1819 Attachment 1820

While the Robot Heroes G1 Ravage is a nice figure, it's just too damn cute. All the other figures are running, flying, pointing, waving guns... and there's Ravage sitting in the corner with his tail up and a big grin.
    No more!
I put G1 Ravage's head, tail and missiles on a ROTF Ravage (after carving the spikes off it).
It's a much more dynamic pose and I'm pretty pleased with it.
I have thought of doing a paw-swap, but I think that'd be too fiddly.

Long time between drinks... work, family issues, lack of ideas...

Thanks to 1azrael1 for selling me the figs that comprised these.

    Overlord
    Attachment 1853
Unicron legs, Machine Wars Tankor torso, Sunstreaker arms, Ultra Magnus head.
I think the two square panels on Tankor's torso emulate Overlord's powermasters, while Sunstreaker's shoulder missiles act as Overlord's. Ultra Magnus's head was the closest fit I could think of; I know the eyes are wrong but overall it was the closest fit.
I am thinking of carving up a Micromaster or Mini-con for his arm jet, but for the moment this is as far as I can go.

    Rodimus Prime
    Attachment 1855
Optimus Prime spark attack hands on Hot Rod
Credit for this must go to guysipainted. I'm thinking of painting Hot Rod a deeper red to set up more of a difference from Hot Rod.

What's that? He's behind me boys and girls?

Wicked, they turned out better than I expected (and I was expecting pure awesome anyway ) I wanted to do the same with Rodimus, but lack of skill to do it

    Wow... long time between drinks!

Anyway, to give me a break I made a Robot Heroes Motormaster.

Used an Ultra Magnus body with Grimlock's right hand and sword, plus Bumblebee's head. The hood was cut out from the base of a Woolworths black forest cake (hmmmmmmm)

It is an unusual pose but I think it makes a welcome change. He can be used to point out aerial foes.
