Default The end of retail ROTF shipping to Australia?

Hi everyone, just a speculation thread.

I'm an SA-based TF collector and I'm starting to notice that the shelves at some of the retailers are starting to slim down the ROTF section (even the animated section too) and I've frequented these retailers in hope of them restocking but to no luck.

Is it possible that perhaps the ROTF line in Australia is drawing close to its end over the next month or so?

Do any members have any intel to confirm this? Because I still have a few figures left to get! (where's that Armorhide?!)

Some of the earlier figures are very hard to find now and if you do find them it is probably because that shop sells them at a high price and never reduces them

You could start your own thread in the Bumblebee Toyscout section.. just list what you are still looking for.

Also, when the hunt becomes a chore I start calling the stores in advance to see if they have the figure I am looking for. You may have a Target, BigW, Kmart, Myer, David Jones, Toys'r'us and others you can call..

And then you still have online stores and services you can try..

Most lines to wind down a little this time of year, in preparation for the new waves that come out around the middle of the year.

I think we'll still get those figures - I mean I found a bunch of them in a regional Target on the weekend (and I'd have grabbed you the Armorhide they had if I'd known), but most waves from here on will be smaller in quantity so you'll have to keep up your regular scoping of retailers to be sure you don't miss out. Making sure other locals know what you need can help to, and you have more sets of eyes searching for you.

I thought Armorhide showed up briefly at the end of last year, blink and you would have missed him though. I've noticed the local Kmart stocks waves erratically sometimes going back a few waves, last time I checked they had the Swerve/ Thrust/ Arcee wave again, so they might cycle back to Armorhide.

Always check with the likes of myself in country areas. We often have older stock shelf warming.

The Armorhide and Dirge wave of deluxes was very very sparse - there were only about 4 confirmed sightings of it in this state, back in mid January - early Feb (although there were probably more released).

I was lucky enough to nab a set myself.

It's funny, about a week right after I posted this thread I go to a Target to find Armorhide and Evac and blew $58 out of my wallet. Perhaps the last of the ROTF line is coming in till late-mid year until the Generations and Hunt for The Decepticon lines arrive.
