Drift is actually a pretty impressive toy.

Although the character has the 'Love to hate' thing about him, the toy is superbly designed and the paint apps are stand outs despite the dominating white which is actually of a solid color with a nice shine to it.

Drift's robot mode is very posable despite his giant boots and the swords offer lots of play value given his super arms articulation.

In regards to the Transformation, it is more reminiscent to the engineering we saw in Classics/Universe but with a bit of Binaltech inspiration thrown in. In essence, its a simple but effecting transformation and fun which is what counts.

Overall this is a superb toy and certainly much more than the character deserves . It is up there among the best Universe/Classics molds and his paint job is excellent which is a very welcomed change for Hasbro.

I can't wait for the Blurr repaint.
