After Robotkingdom sent me the wrong item
I ordered a fansproject power commander(the red one) from RK for 119USD.
They are very fast indeed. But once I open the box, I saw "TFX-01 city commander" on it. I hesitated a little bit thinking this might be a wrong one. But I am new to TFs, so not very sure. I cut the seal, it is a wrong one.
I contact them. After providing couple of photo evidence, this is what I got form their reply:

OK, we will ship the correct one to you, and the wrong one, just keep it.
Thanks,
Ray

It made me more than better off, but why they do that? Do you have any similar experience with them?

It could be cheaper for you to keep it.
If they asked you to send it back then you'd have to get money from them to send it, that's a hassle, and the hassle might make you less willing to buy again.
Also by letting you keep it your likely to tell people (which you have) and this may increase orders. People would be more willing to buy from them knowing if they get the wrong item they can keep it for free. Kinda like a chance to win something.
And by letting you keep it you don't feel bitter or annoyed at them either. I'm guessing your rather happy with the transaction.
If it all works, the increased business will cover the costs.
