"Death" Starscream isn't that toy's actual name. It's just Starscream Black Version (Takara went through this phase where they did random black repaints. Thankfully that doesn't happen anymore!
).
But I don't blame rampagesss for unofficially retconning it as "death" Starscream to give an otherwise random black repaint some purpose. I did the same thing with the JafCon 9 black version of Convoy (in the Gokiverse he's "Matrix Death Optimus Prime")
I'd love to see an action pose shot of that black Starscream reenacting Starscream's death at Galvatron's hands (with other Deceps looking on in horror) if you feel so inclined rampagesss.
