I have the feeling that I'll be giving up collecting, sooner rather than later. Me and the missus are currently shopping for a new home at the moment and in the past, one of my prerequisites was that I had to have a spare room to display my stuff. Now, I just want a games room for an air hockey/pool table instead. Also, in the past, whenever there was a sighting for a new toy, I'd be doing a mad dash to grab it whereas now I just wait until I'm out shopping to grab it and even if its out of stock, I just go "meh". I also find that I'm now concentrating on collecting toys, not necessarily TFs, that have more of a wow factor, something I can potentially display around my future home that guests can see and comment on (for this reason, I find valkyries awesome, particularly displayed in fighter mode). Plus, I find buying toys for my daughter rather than myself, brings a bigger smile to my face.

G'day Gok. You are a true TF fan that allways tells it how it is.You are a fountain of Tf knowledge, down to earth, happy to help and have a great sence of humor. I think you have helped make this website what it is today. Not sure why your not a mod! Perhaps you have turned it down. Good to hear from you.
I'd love to reply to this thread but I am currently (still) in denial about being in the demographic the question was targeting.
TF Figs of 2024:
1) Legacy Magmatron
2) Legacy Gears
3) SS102 RotB Optimus
I'm 34 soon and I have many toys and an understanding partner, eg massive diecast model car collection, TF, Macross and cars such as a modified FPV GT and Nissan 370Z.
Toys give you motivation to earn money to buy more toys!
So just keep going and enjoy yourself!
Hey is the dirty digger still active on ozformers? Did a search for his name and it didnt come up. I didnt think he was gonna give up Tfs any time soon.
Let me ask a question - when is the last time you did anything other than just stopping to look at? Actually picked some of them up, and did what they were designed to do - transform.
I can understand losing interest in the movieverse characters if you're not a fan of that look, but the classics are ideal for a child of G1, as are the encore reissues to complete your collection.
Or reading a transformer comic or graphic novel, or watching the cartoon. Or perhaps playing the new War For Cybertron game? Either you'll find it cool, and it'll refresh your interest, or you'll realise you're over it, and move on.
On the lookout for MISB Headmaster Highbrow, Takara or Hasbro. I'm sure I could make you a sweet deal!
