I really like my toys, and they keep me happy right now. Yes, there are always better stuff I could have spent my money on, but there are also worse stuff out there.

That's a good point. I always remind the wife that I could be going out to the pub every week and spending money on alcohol but instead I choose to spend my money elsewhere. You'd be surprised how effective this works

I have the feeling that I'll be giving up collecting, sooner rather than later. Me and the missus are currently shopping for a new home at the moment and in the past, one of my prerequisites was that I had to have a spare room to display my stuff. Now, I just want a games room for an air hockey/pool table instead. Also, in the past, whenever there was a sighting for a new toy, I'd be doing a mad dash to grab it whereas now I just wait until I'm out shopping to grab it and even if its out of stock, I just go "meh". I also find that I'm now concentrating on collecting toys, not necessarily TFs, that have more of a wow factor, something I can potentially display around my future home that guests can see and comment on (for this reason, I find valkyries awesome, particularly displayed in fighter mode). Plus, I find buying toys for my daughter rather than myself, brings a bigger smile to my face.
If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you

I'm 34 soon and I have many toys and an understanding partner, eg massive diecast model car collection, TF, Macross and cars such as a modified FPV GT and Nissan 370Z.

Toys give you motivation to earn money to buy more toys!

So just keep going and enjoy yourself!

I'm in my late 20's, don't feel old anymore

Age is just a number, if you still enjoy it then why should you stop?

It would seem according to Target, yes if you are over 10 years old
