exactly, im 31, have a step son and a 6 month old baby, and a very understanding partner, and sometimes when people find out i collect transformers, i might get the odd rolled eyes or a 'hah?' from the non believers, but thats the scenario i put forward, some people collect bottles, some collect buttons, i collect transformers.![]()
I let my daughter play with my PlaySkool Transformers like Mototron, Charlie Chopper, Beastbot, Policeman Pete etc. I let her play with My First Transformer Jet for a while, then she started scratching one of the stickers, so I took that off her!
I occasionally let her handle other Transformers under supervision. She started throwing Drift around.![]()
I'm in my late 20's, don't feel old anymore
Age is just a number, if you still enjoy it then why should you stop?
It would seem according to Target, yes if you are over 10 years old

Now, that's a smart girl.
The way I foresee it, I will be stopping TF collecting in 3 to 4 years. There're a few reasons of course. One is that I would have acquired all the G1 toys that I want (including Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory, I've less than 20 figures to go; I think I might even be finished before this year is over). Second, I have very little interest in the post G1 releases and that includes Classics/Henkei/Generations, the plastic quality is just crap and when I hold one, I want to throw it away in the thrash. As a result, I have also sold 90% of all the Classics and Henkei I own.
So, I will stop because there will be nothing that I want left to buy. By stopping in "3 or 4 years", I mean that I will very likely even have sold off all my G1 collection by then after I've had a chance to enjoy them in their entirety for a few years and maybe even have gone to Botcon 'secure' in the feeling that there is nothing I want to buy.
i think I'm getting burned out mentally because I'm too obsessive when collecting.
BUT, I will remain a Transformer fan for life.
Yeah but that's entirely different from actually quitting Transformers. If anything, it's stopping because you're collection is complete.

That's cool. I'm surprised that you won't be a collector for life though. But not all Transformer fans are collectors.Originally Posted by heroic_decepticon
