I bought the coronation set from these very boards some months back but haven't gotten around to opening it until now.

I used a classics Starscream I found for $5. It didn't have any blasters so the kit filled their absence. I haven't managed to get the wings off to replace the hinges but I think the cape looks nice the way it is.

I did something different with the Leader-1 head. I didn't want to use the usual Seekers mold and wanted something that looked like it came from a continuity other than Classics.

The answer: the Movieverse! More specifically, Jetblade (also obtained from these boards). The colour is about right; all that was needed was the faction symbols sanded off the wings. I also took the numbers off the nose to give it more difference. Otherwise the alt mode is unchanged. EDIT: attack of conscience: going to repaint the pale blue to black.

If you're going to try this at home be warned: Jetblade's head is secured by a metal pin. I ended up boiling the headpiece and using a teaspoon to lever it out. Also: Leader-1's head and neck needs a LOT of trimming to fit. Basically the head needs to become a shape like G1 Kup's head i.e back half completely flat.
