It's quite easy if you have the figures. It's not even joined together just have the 2 bots mid transformed then place Lockdown on top of Mindwipe. Ive tried it with my figures when I saw this and it does look good but only for posing ( like a statue) since there is no way you could attach one to the other - unless you try blutack. then you can only play with it in bot mode.

It looks like ROTF Lockdown finds better upgrades than his Animated counterpart! Mindwipe's bat mode is also a plus for that figure.
I remember being disappointed by Action Master Thundercracker many years ago. Not because of the figure, or its colours, but because it was a boxed Transformer but it didn't come with a catalogue! Every Transformer in a box to that year had always had the brochure showing me all of that year's toys![]()
i was going through a few boxes over the weekend, and came to my armada stuff.. i must admit getting alot of these toys back then i was disapointed in more of them then any other series especially sideways.... he was one i regretted even touching.....
how the toys have changed and progressed over the last 8 years
insaying that they did produce a few gems too
yeah, the funny thing with Armada is that they kinda took a backward step with engineering. Leading up to that we had Beast Wars, Beast Machines and Car Robot/RiD - with all these awesomely engineered fully articulated transforming robots. Then Armada came along and it was like... WTH... Megatron can't even lift his legs up?!? To me it felt like a lot of engineering was sacrificed for gimmicks.
That's true, in some toys they were able to give us well engineered toys that still had neat Mini-Con activated gimmicks too - Tidalwave is an example of this (he's all kinds of awesomesauceOriginally Posted by Sharky
). Even Sideways is pure jaAM! compared to a lot of other figures in Armada. His robot mode is better articulated than Megatron or Scavenger (there are Happy Meal TFs that are better articulated than Armada Scavenger). And of course, the mascot for Armada's engineering woes would be Hot "WhY mY ShOuLdErS hUrT?" Shot.

I'm going to add another dissapointing TF purchase to this thread, but this time it has nothing to do with the actual quality of the toy itself, but what I have discovered about the character since buying the toy.
The toy in focus is: Deluxe Universe Sunstreaker
When I first saw the Universe Sunstreaker/Sideswipe mold I really wanted to buy the toy mold because it looked so cool. I'm a TF fan that's way down on the movie spectrum end and don't really have any in-depth knowledge of most of the G1 characters, only a handful like Optimus Prime and Megatron etc. Basically I knew nothing about Sunstreaker as a character but just wanted to buy his toy because it looked cool. (really I just collect to play because im fascinated with the transforming mechanics)
About a month after having bought the cool toy, I read his biography on tfwiki, specifically his IDW comics biography and damn what a douche Sunstreaker is. Of all Autobots I know, Sunstreaker, despite his cool toy is my least favorite Autobot based purely on his character.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I think most of us older buggers grew up with G1, so we were already aware of who these characters were. Also, Sunstreaker wasn't as much of a douche in original G1 as he was in Neo-G1... and while Neo-G1 Sunstreaker may have been a douche, I think it made the character interesting. Flawless characters are boring.![]()
