If you don't just call it 'Classics' I'm going to start referring to the movie part of my collection as my MovieRGRPSAPRotFNESTAAAHftD Collection just to annoy people.

I like the idea of Generation 3, but there would have to be some official designation from Hasbro for me to call it that.

Personally, I don't see any need to call those toys anything as a whole. I'd call the ones that were Classics "Classics", the one that were Universe "Universe", etc. They're different lines, just because individual fans might put the toys together on the same shelf, it doesn't make Generations toys the same line as the Classics ones.

Hasbro changes what the line is called too often so I also vote we stick with calling them Classics or Classicsverse.

Sticking to official Hasbro line assignations is just too messy. The only way to go is common sense and personal preference when it comes to new molds clearly intended to be G1 characters (and by that I mean directly, not just 'inspired by' or 'based on').

I voted for classicsverse however I think it would be awesome if Hasbro renamed them all Gen3

I've taken to using CHUG. Just CHUG. As is Classic-Henkei-Universe-Generations.

It's 4 characters, 1 syllable. It doesn't need to be exhaustive, since the 'extra' lines are sort of implied through the 4 lines chosen. And it sounds cool.

As soon as we start adding a letter for each new sub-line, we are going to end up with absurdly unwieldy and useless acronyms. I don't want to be using CHUGURROFLOL in ten years' time.

    But, y'know, whatever.

I vote for more spaces in the thread title. It's wrecking the layout.

I agree. The War for Cybertron figures are in the Generations line, but they don't belong with the Classics or Universe lines.

It also means you can exclude Drift as IDWverse.
Which brings us to where we are today...
