With Oz dominance in the games overall so complete I was happy to see NZ win Gold. Also a loss can be good for character building and increase hunger and determination to better yourself so there's positives to be taken from it.

Exciting game They've already lost 2 straight commonwealth games. That NZL girl was really great. Those were long shots that she was taking and making. I don't think she missed one at the end.

Referees are always right...even when they're wrong.

How come presidents/premiers aren't in that same boat? Maybe because of the news/reporters.

Maybe because we don't vote for them. Back home if we complain to the committee, they could replace the refs for being lousy

NBL is back tonight, be interesting to see the crowds through the season, with free to air coverage (digital tv at least) and maybe some space in the papers, the NBL might just survive another few years...

Watched my first live game of the WBL. Canberra Capitals vs Sydney Flames. Canberra won (yeah!) even though they were down by the end of the first half. Looking forward to watching more live games but I have to admit, I am shocked with some of the contacts they get away with. And then when nothing happens, they get called for it. The refs need their eyes re-examined.

I only caught the last quarter and a half. Melbourne looked like crap. Missing 3's from everywhere and weak defence. I've seen better domestic teams.

Lost game with 10 pt margin to an undefeated team. They're all physical and quick with a big center who knows how to play down low.

1/3 from 3pt land. I got to improve this percentage but I need more shots.

I don't get this strategy of trying to get fouls on the inside when you can't make free throws hahaha
