Casting parts - can this be done?

I wish to be able to replicate a missile part which is otherwise impossible to acquire by itself. Does anyone have any experience with this?

MOTU 200X Castle Grayskull missile It seems impossible to find one loose anywhere.

Obviously it's not a Transformers part but since the process can be used for general toy repair, I thought I should make a thread here for general reference.

With the AUD so strong why don't you try out Aluminite or Smooth-on stuff. Casting stuff is something thing I've yet to try out but the starter kits look pretty good.
