    I don't think a G1 cartoon-style deco works for this IDW-based sculpt. A bit busy, too.

It just says that the Japanese version will have one part which is painted in 'metallic' colours. Comes with a tech spec card. Anything else you wanted to know?

I think it is a bit bland. I prefer the Generations one. Has a bit more detailing.

I think its the same, just a poor choice of colours. From this poor photo it does look like a pallete&deco de-provement but perhaps it may shine in vehicle mode?

I think the metallic part they are referring to is the silver paint on his torso.

Both Hasbro and Takara versions have some aspects I like and dislike, there's no clear winner for me. I'll probably go with the cheapest/first one out.

Yeah, I don't think either Hasbro or TOMY version is inherently better or worse than the other; it's a matter of personal preference/taste.

The headsculpt on this mould does pretty weird IRL (having seen Deceptic_Optic's), but not as f'ugly as in photos. Still not pretty but. The thing that bugs me the most is that the Drift mode just looks too bulky to be Blurr. I much prefer the lankiness of G1 and Animated Blurr. Ah well, I know I'm still gonna buy this toy.

I'll probably get the Hasbro version just cos it's easier

I love collecting tech spec cards, i dislike hasbro's method which is to either to keep the box/backing card or cut it out.
