yes? $40US is way too expensive for 2 scouts.

Well, it sounds like your complaint should be more directed at TT for bundling two scouts as a voyager. As to the price, US$40, that's pretty standard fare for an imported voyager. RK's price is based on their buy price from Hasbro HK, not what 2 x scouts sell for in the anglo world.

Courtesy of Seibertron.com, In-package pics of Takara's United line of figures have surfaced.

The United toy looks nicer, though I'm not fond of the generic packaging. At least Hasbro went to the effort of giving their Generations toys individual package art. Generations Soundwave isn't bad... but TOMY's definitely looks nicer IMO.

Gah on the United packaging. Why did they have to go all 'American' again after Animated. The generic art and the angle of the packaging bubble annoy my MOSC Collector side.

Just as well the final toys look to be very metalic and very nice.

There's no real difference IMO to make me want to buy the United version. If I hadn't already bought the Hasbro one, I might have considered it, but for sheer convenience sake I probably would opt for the local Hasbro release.

Either way, it's Soundwave and both are full of win

Internet personality Peaugh, has just posted video reviews for Skullgrin and Wreck-gar.

*Edit: Seems Wreck-gar suffers from a little too much Hasbro Grey(TM) - Hopefully United will fix this.

    Best... Wreck-Gar... EVER!!

Wasn't a fan of the G1 or Animated versions, but RtS has finally given us what I consider to be the ultimate incarnation of the character. I may even consider buying multiples to create my Junkion army

Of interesting note in Peaugh's review, he mentions hearing of a rumour regarding an official Hasbro Arcee toy. Not that I'm looking to replace my Animated version, but it would be nice to have a Classics version to fit with the rest of the cast. The wait may finally be over soon.

and in true Hasbro "tradition" will can the project before it ever sees the light of day....or make it into a bike.... again.... for the umphteeeenth time and force it down out throats that Arcee was a bike, uh huh- I was just hallucinating then when I was watching the 80s cartoons and "that pink car is apparently a bike".

Agree with you on Best Wreckgar ever! Just hoping a third party source makes alternate heads to make a whole slew of new characters - Junkions.
Wanted AM partner Vanguard, Myclones Dirge, G1 Victory Leo, e-hobby Dark scream ( the black version), e-hobby Magnificus
Parts- AM partner Basher-side guns, G1 Actionmaster Elite Windmill's blades[I][B]

Despite the fact that Animated Arcee was a car.

I'd love to see a Classicsverse Arcee. I like Animated Arcee, and she's the closest official toy that looks like G1 Arcee, but she still does look too "Animated" to really fit in with Classicsverse IMO. If done properly, a Classicsverse Arcee should look even closer to G1 Arcee.
