Conflict can be between two or more sides, and you can have in-fighting as well (e.g. mutiny, rebellion, coup d'état, Starscream etc.) A siege is when you form a blockade of a fortified enemy position and conquer it by direct assault or even attrition (e.g. cutting off the enemy's supply of Energon or other resources).
