I've got some price-stickered boxes iny archives. Mostly Kmart price-tags, some from Venture and Target. I will dig them out next weekend.
Hmm I thought good ole NZ and the U.S had Kaybee Toys, but I must be mistaken. I bought the Scattershot box from a NZ collector too.

I'm impressed that you've managed to have the discipline to keep your boxes in tact for the past 26 years! I cut up and threw out all my boxes, although I still have the clipped out box art of some of my boxes. But certainly none of my G1 boxes survived my childhood. I have a few G1 boxes which I managed to obtain by chance... but none of them have price tags.
Hypothetically if I had kept them, most of them would have price tags from Toyworld (yeah, remember when NSW had Toyworld?), Grace Bros (heh), Target and Kmart. Of course, ones which were gifts had the price tags removed, so toys like Starscream, Bludgeon, Thunderwing, Apeface, Snapdragon etc etc. - stuff that were birthday and Xmas gifts, I have no idea where they came from. Well, I know Apeface and Snapdragon came from Grace Bros (cos mum got them on lay-by, making the final payment on Xmas Eve after working a late shift -- I waited up all night for her to come home with those toys!
).
Did you spend some time in the UK and US as a child canofwhoopass? I had some friends who moved overseas when I was a kid and I we'd keep in touch as pen pals... they'd send me toy catalogues and stuff of various kinds of toys that were released overseas that we wouldn't see for ages later. Which was really cool for pre-internet days.![]()
Lol ah young Gok. Not sure where you got the idea that I've been to the UK or the US, I simply got these G1 boxes a few months ago. The stickers were in pretty good condition, so I thought it'd be nice and see what other locals have on their vintage boxes.
oh and I assure you, those specific boxes I took happy snaps of - they're fairly beat up. It's this new digital camera. Makes them look glossy and new
All lies I tell you!
according to this they still do, its that there is not many of them.
