December Acquisitions

I know I'm gonna cop a bit for this acquisition but... meh Bought an AFA case for my Megatron box which I purchased from 1AZRAEL1 last month. I figured the thing has survived for almost 30 years; this gives it the best chance to last another 30

i think you need a good hard look at yourself an empty box in a display case... go stand infront of the mirror and ask yourself... why have i not got myself a loose megatron to fit into this one hell of a sexy box...

now i dont want to see another aquisition from you young man until that hole in the foam has been filled....:P

in all seriousness.. that was a wonderful looking box, now atleast it will stay that way... how much did the case cost if you dont mind me asking???

Yeah, I know. I'm sick and need help

I do actually have a loose Megs however he's in my display case standing opposite Prime. If I put him in the box, it will screw up the aesthetics of my display case and I can't afford another Megs to replace him.

The case was bought from AFA's eBay store and cost approx. $50. Shipping was about the same. Their obviously custom made to fit and they come in the following styles - '84 Autobot cars, '84 Decepticon jets, '84 Prime, and '84 Megatron. They also have cases for combiners e.g. Constructicons, however these are a very poor fit and the cards will slide around inside.

**Word of warning** - if you (or anyone) are thinking of buying one, its best that the flap of the box is as straight as possible. If it isn't, it's near impossible to make it fit as there is an internal 'holder' which the flap has to sit under and you wouldn't be able to stick your hand in there to maneuver it into position.
