Comparing Transformers Legacy United G1 Universe Autobot Gears with Gears' Sunbow animation model.

I think that this is another awesome case of "Poor Man's Masterpiece." HasTak have done an astounding job working within the confines of a Deluxe Class figure. I'm impressed with how the wheels all fold away in robot mode, and the chest is used to cover up the rear of the vehicle and add red like in the cartoon model. On top of that, you still have a chest panel that opens up like in the episode "Changing Gears."

Gears & Spider-Man, the first Transformers crossover!

Not an official mode, but Gears' wheels can fold in to make a "flying car" mode like Gigawatt.

It's a thing you can do if you want to do it.

Gears was one of my very earliest and most loved TF toys so I've been looking forward to this one for ages.

It's the best Gears toy so far but he's a bit too stocky and I did not like that chest on the back of the vehicle mode (reminds me of the Siege Tetrajets).

I found it really funny that after nearly 40 years I realised the protrusions on the shoulders of the cartoon model are meant to be his tires, took this toy giving it some extra details.
