Dick Gautier was originally meant to voice Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime in TFTM but Orson Welles couldn't stop laughing at his name and kept on making fun of it. As a result Gautier was replaced by Judd Nelson. After Welles passed away Gautier was recast as Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime as he was originally meant to be.

Megatron has two brothers, Megatdave and Megatphil. And yes, we've all been pronouncing Megatron's name incorrectly. It's Meg-at-Ron, not "Megga-ch'ron."

In the original theatrical release of TFTM, the opening narration says, "It is the year Twenty-Oh-Five."
