I bought it purely because of the mold history! Didn't like the general look of the robot at first - the head is more PowerRangers than TFs, and combine that with the fact that he doesn't have any weapons, it places him into a fist-fighting monk category. It's actually a very cool mold and it displays very well with your Classics/Universe figures.
And for me, arriving in today's mail, Alternity Silver Convoy - now my collection of Alternity is complete with one of each release.

Yay Gobots, I had all those Gobots when I was a kid, you'll have to show me those sometime.Got this bits from Griffin's auction (Non-MOTU stuff on the left)
It is clear as to which item I aimed for but the Gobot stuff isn't bad. I never owned the show Gobot characters when I was a kid and that is my first Rock lord ever!
With so many remakes of Optimus, and Megatron classic gobots still feel classic.
