Bidoofdude, don't bother with individual TRU outlets now -- call Toys R Us Australia Head Office -- explain your situation to them and get them to directly source an MP Optimus Prime to you!!! Here's their number: 1300 8697 787

Tell them that you've been looking for this toy for over 2 months now, and you've all the TRUs around you and they've all reported being out of stock. TRU Head Office should be able to source one for you from one of their interstate stores. No need for you to pay for postage if TRU head office can source it straight to you. That's what they told me that they could do when I called them on October 11.

I can't remember exactly, best to give them a call and ask them directly. It's worth a shot if it means saving money on shipping... the toy's already pretty expensive as it is without it.

They should be able to send it to your nearest store in a regular shipment, just like ordering or getting a rain check from the store.

Does the new Ultra Magnus (G1) Hasbro reissue version come with those stupidly long missiles?

I didn't even know there was a reissue coming, but yeah shortened smoke stokes, elongated missiles sounds right.

If you mean the upcoming one, then...apparently nope. It's supposed to have short missiles and long smokestacks.
If you mean the old Hasbro one, then yep - long missiles, short stacks.
