I am currently in my third year of consistently chasing up on TFs - mainly Classicsverse and Beast Wars. Previously I was more ad-hoc.

1. The amount of $$ sunk into my first yr ($6-$7k)
2. No more room to display TF's so they wait on the floor
3. Impatient and impulsive buys, just to fill my plastic crack addiction

My third year is double of my second year, and the combined efforts is roughly equal to your maxima

Hahaha, yup goki, thats how i felt when i reflect on it, but i dont regret it all too much.

I'm roughly in the same boat (probably more by the time a whole year has gone by)... regrets? None.

This is getting interesting. So I'll invite anyone to answer these questions for the sake of discussion (or therapy ):
1. How much have you spent on Transformers this year?
2. How many Transformers toys have you acquired this year?
3. What was the cheapest and most expensive single TF toy you purchased this year?

For me...
1. About $800
2. Approx. 150 toys
3. Cheapest = $5 (Cyberverse Legion Class Vehicon MOSC), Dearest = $175 (MISB MP Sunstorm)

2. less than 50
3.Expensive = Grand Max (around 1700) and cheapest probably a throttlebot i picked up at the nexus fair for a few bucks

2. Around 60
3. Cheapest was $10 for complete g1 UM at a flea market and dearest would be g1 Trypticon for about 170 I think

Wow 149 Transformers for just over 600 bucks

Well its $6-7k for me,
60-70, bought some doubles
Cheapest was $40 and most expensive was $250 and on average all the rest of my toys i bought were $100-$150
