This was something I'd mentioned earlier on the TF newbies Q thread...
    Winged G1 Dinobot Sludge
A few weeks ago some guy on YouTube called JadeTransformer sent me his review on a KO Sludge which he claims is a rare prototype. I called BS and challenged him to provide conclusive evidence to his claim. He got a bit abusive and accused me of being jealous. I then also provided counter-evidence against his claim citing reliable sources from both Transformers and Diaclone. I even provided Takara's customer call number if he wanted to call Takara himself and confirm his toy as being legit.

It now seems that he's deleted all of my video comments and I just tried to post some more counter-evidence but my comment didn't show up which means that either:
1/ He's screening all comments and my comment is current awaiting approval, or...
2/ He's blocked me so that I'm unable to make any further comments

I think #2 is more likely.

So I'm now asking for anyone else with a YouTube account to post a comment on this guy's channel - don't abuse him - but to point out that his claim is indeed a load of bollocks.

So the evidence you can submit to him include:
1/ There is no mention of such a prototype in "Transformers: Generations," published by Takara (and the book does show a lot of other toy prototypes and abandoned toy concepts).
2/ There is no mention of such a variant of this toy on Diaclone.net, which lists every known Diaclone variant and has photographs of them too (here).
3/ toyarchive.com has a page covering this knock off (here). This toy is called "Prehistory Animal 3 Prontosaurus" and it has photographs of the KO in box.

There are already lots of other people who are falling for this guy's claim as you can see on his comments page. Please help me in exposing this guy and his so-called rare Dinobot for the fraud that it is.

    Thank you.

Your idea of flatter him seems to have worked because he's actually approved your comment! Everyone else's comments seem disapproved. But keep it up, because he's actually replied to us which means that not only is he reading them, but they're getting to him!

He's latest attempt of a rebuttal - and he's already tried this argument is:
I've searched everywhere to find out more about this one!! Only other person that I know who has one Is David Danielle and he was an Ultimate transformer fan contest winner! In my favorites in my channel there is a video where he makes a reference to this one. It is a prototype that was never released which makes it very rare! I realize that it isn't a Diaclone or a Transformer but yes a prototype and not a KO. This toy is exactly Identical to Dinobot Sludge right down to the Stickers
I responded by saying: "Just because another fan says it's a rare prototype doesn't mean it's true. You need a more reliable source like something official (i.e. from Takara or Hasbro). Your evidence is hearsay, which is inadmissible." - I doubt he'll approve that.

Pretty much. I bet he wishes he hadn't now.

P.S.: I also just posted: "Go to w w w. toyarchive. com/ Transformers/ Knockoffs/ Sludge1. html and you can see photos of this toy IN BOX and it clearly shows it as a KO. This toy is called "Prehistory Animal Prontosaurus." Also, the Dinobots came from Diaclone's Kyouryuu Robo line, so if it didn't exist in Diaclone then it's fake. See Diaclone. net. Again, you can also contact Takara on +81-3-3602-3030 and seek official confirmation."

    My spot from red dot

I thought Brimstone was a crap figure to begin with.

Strangely I find these photographic instructions far better than their hastak equivalents. Collect brimstone and his retarded friends today!

Not even star wars crossovers are safe.

Wazzpinator has a headache in his whole patent

Not really a transformer but unlike a genuine bionicle this has metal fasteners! Go Eudemon bravery(???) Go!

Looks like he gave in and is now probably contemplating suicide or hunting down the seller of the KO in question.

I hate to say it Lint but that 'Cyber Insect Transformer' is not bad for $2. At one of my daughter's lessons last week I saw a kid playing with one of the six in the series and just had to have a look. His mum and I soon got talking (she bagged it out as just a cheap, crap thing from the Chinese shop) and she said she would like to get her and others kids real Transformers for Christmas but Kmart and Target hardly ever had anything. I told her of the new Sup/Bruticus sets at Myer which she was very interested in and we continued to have about a ten minute discussion on Tf's and collecting.
But yeah...old 'Cyber Insect Transformer' there isn't bad as it doesn't actually copy any official mould. Bit of customisation and it could really work.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

I must admit that giant Bruiticus is Impressive with its almost show accurate size!

I have give kudos to these bootleggers for actually bothering to use photographic instructions! Something that I haven't seen HasTak do for years!

I last saw a photographic instruction from Takara in 1999... last time I saw a photographic instruction from Hasbro was 1984!
