JB Hi Fi had today as the day that Breakdown arrived. Not only do they not have Breakdown for sale on shelves, the entire entry has been deleted from their website.

I wouldn't panic too much - JB's listings do that occasionally. There's even a weird thing sometimes where the search engine won't bring up certain characters when you type 'Transformers', but when you search for the individual name of the character it comes up......and says Transformers.
But yes, Breakdown and Needlenose have been much more trouble than they're worth all-round.

Is it possible to actually preorder something from JB without having to pay shipping? Can never click and collect anything.

Theoretically if it is already in your local shop. Otherwise, no, I don't believe they move stock between shops, and so it would indeed appear to be impossible to pre-order without postage.
