The cassettes are from Microman not Diaclone. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that toy appears to be a fake. According to the Transformers Variations site it's from a KO Microman line called "Transistor Robots."

It's not a fake toy, it's a real toy. And to me it doesn't matter if was once Diaclone, Microman, Machine Man or Barbie. He's now a proud member of the Decepticon army named Buzzbeak.

Universe Inferno for $25.

He is beautiful! probably my last big transformer until after the movie (unless Wreck-gar gets a snap release)

Picked up another Universe Voyager Class Inferno. Also picked up Universe Voyagers Overload and Leo Prime.

Got all 3 for $25 each at Target.

Doubledealer: on the bright side, in that condition the toy's probably legit and not a knock off! See your local hobby store and see if they have a paint similar to gold chrome that you can use to restore your Rumble. You won't find actual chrome but you may find similar. You can get actual chrome paints, but they're expensive (because people use them to spray-paint cars & machinery, not toys or miniatures). Like for silver chrome I would use something like Mithral Silver. Not sure what the closest approximation of gold chrome would be though. I'm guessing maybe Lord_Zed might know?

He's definitely legit - he has a red waist, metal toes, solid build quality etc.
Thanks for the paint suggestions but I think I'll leave him be. The thought of taking paint to a 25 year old toy of that level of groovy is too horrendous to consider. He's a bit beat up but he'll be right.
