Default Toyworld's Fortress and Grand (not-Maximi)

Standing at 22cm tall, and US $99 and US $139 respectively.

Whilst they look pretty good, they look like they've taken the G1 mold, shrunk it, and added articulation. Would much prefer if they were at least 35cm.

Yeah saw this yesterday. At first I was really keen but then I realized the same as you, they've just added articulation to the G1 toy and reduced the size.

    Suddenly not so keen.

Yeah! That's pretty much the size Fortress Maximus should have always been. Very tempting.

Wow, they look like a great update! More than just a downscale with articulation. But from my point of view hopefully this gets embiggened by someone to the original Fort Max size.

If G1 Spike can be used as the head, then I'm sold on this. It's a shame there's such a difference in the prices for no benefit - Not-Grand-Max should at least come with a mini Pretender shell for an extra $40.

Seems Grand is an exclusive with limited numbers. TfSource sold out their preorders for him apparently.

It looks like Grand Max has stickers - maybe that's the other justification? I got one, since the paint apps are sloppy while the stickers are neat. I truly hope the plastic is good quality, since this is the scale I've always wanted in a Maximus.

Well it's a lot cheaper and easier to store than the real thing, not sure if it's for me though.

    Interesting idea.

Azrael the second link is broken. What difference is there between versions? Just stickers, or something else?
On the lookout for MISB Headmaster Highbrow, Takara or Hasbro. I'm sure I could make you a sweet deal!
