No Lights and Sounds? Hrrm. I realise some people hate that sort of action feature but this guy NEEDS to have Jet engine/Gun fire noises to be worth the $150 asking price.

What are the mold differences between this and the Premium Buster Prime?

    Faceplate > mouth
    No swords
    Redone abs

    ???

As mentioned, new molding to connect the jetpack around the back. Clips underneath forearms for the gun to clip into. Deliberately put it into pose in the first pic to see that.

They also retooled the sides of his arms to feature the new two-pronged elbow guards (I don't know what else to call them). So essentially, he has entirely new lower arms.

STL, is there any indication as to what size class TakaraTomy refers to this as on the box?

It should be noted that this has been released almost a week before its official preview in Japan at a convention, and probably a month before the Japanese release date.

Are the grey pieces on above the front windows (the one on the right hand side has an autobot logo) poseable like they are in the other releases of this mold? I've not seen pics that show either way.

Because of that head articulation, I'm so going to buy this fig.

Yeah, they're angled in the normal robot pic. They're folded flat for combined mode, because of the backpack, it seems.

    Nice. Great Review STL.

I've been wanting the Buster version and this should be a good alternative. The price is a bit steep so I'll wait for the Big W release. I've learnt to live with the crappy gray, so it's a bit of an expected disappointment now. I'm digging that backpack though. While it's a little ridiculous on the rear of the truck, it's what I expected for the Jetfire-Prime combo, with a wide wing span without compromising Optimus' presence.

The Cyberverse Commander version is pretty accurate now that I can see this.
