Default JP Generations book for 2016 coming in December

Better late than never, the next volume of those excellent resource guides for all the Transformers toys that get released, will be released December 9th. (last years book was released November 13th, so this one actually isn't much later)

It's about 3,000yen (about AU$36 at the moment), and as with previous Generations books, this one will be available for ordering by us foreigners.

No details yet on if there will be an exclusive toy to go with it.
It is being noted as "2016-2017", but it should be almost entirely 2016 toys - since the books always show a few upcoming toys, naturally some will be 2017 toys. This shouldn't be seen as the guide book for both years - being a Movie year next year, I would expect another one next year that covers all the 2017 toys.

For those new to these books, just be aware that they are in Japanese, but the toy names are in English... but with these photo guide books, who needs to read it.

According to the Amazon listing, this book's release is now 6 days later, on December 15th, so it's still a couple of weeks away.

The price at HLJ in Paulbot's posting is 2800yen, compared to the Amazon price of 3024yen... so it will probably come down to postage for the cheapest option... like, if you are ordering other items as well, or have things in the "HLJ warehouse".

Roughly how many pages are these books and do they only contain info on toys released in 2016/17 or feature older lines as well?

They are on average 100 pages. The focus is on the current year's Japanese releases, with extensive coverage of MP toys, and sketches/designs/interviews etc. All in Japanese but they do include US only toys too.

They also have a special feature which used to be character based (all the uses of the Optimus Prime toy, all the Grimlocks, etc) but the last book called Re:Generations and featured pics of every Car Robots and RID toy. (Which would be a great series for them to continue but there's the whole Beast era which still isn't catalogued and I hope they go back to)

Fingers crossed its a comprehensive BW feature but that might be too many pages. A part one would be sufficient!

Damn that small image! What wonders does it conceal!?

TRANSFORMERS: DEICIDE -- The Beast Wars 20th Anniversary Comic Book series that could have been...
TRANSFORMERS: UNITY -- the BotCon 2016 Comic Book that should have been...
