Yeah, that video's a little disappointing. That's an easy pass for me now!

Talk about a bad advertising move by Matty... releasing this video now has done more damage than good (maybe). I think many more people would've bought a Sub, going by the reactions, if they hadn't seen this clip before the sale ends!

Even if it has some questionable auto transformation gimmicks and isn't as cool as many hoped. End of the day it is still a huge voltron and will make a great display piece. It will be great, I'm sure many on the board will be jelouse once you start getting your lions.

thanks for the words of comfort.
i just hope that they wont offer it on sale for half price later due to all the lack of interest! cos that would be like 2 kicks in the nuts.

Video looks like ass, makes me feel better about not splurging!

But, i'm starting to wonder whether i should get the human figures and couple them with a Toynami MP Voltron (if i can ever find one for a reasonable price).

They wont go anywhere inside of course, but i had all those figs as a kid (was it the Panosh version? i dont remember) so i'd like to have them again in some form.

Y'know what? I call BS on Mattel's whole "Biggest/Greatest Voltron ever" claim.
Trendmasters made a similar scale Voltron for the CGI show.
I'm not sure if it ever came out here (My aunt did tell me she saw a giant Yellow Lion at a toyworld around the same time, so it's possible) but I knew a bloke who had one. over 2ft tall, Each Lion had light-up eyes, and ridiculous amount of missiles and was capable of holding one of the horrible four inch Pilots they had out at the time. And I'm fairly certain the lion legs were chrome too.

I'm pretty sure it was under $100 US for the box set in 1999.
