    Default Wonderfest Japan 2017

Like last year, it has been a big weekend while the American Toyfair is on, as the Japanese Wonderfest has been underway at the same time... with TakaraTomy showing off a number of their upcoming Transformers toys.

But nothing new was revealed though.

Photos can be seen here of the display.

MP Grapple sure is looking like Grapple.

Is Prime 1 Studios Beast Wars Megatron new? They had an unpainted proto if anyone wants to see

And there were some garage kits of Starscream, Metalhawk and Holi by the same person who did the Minerva and Devcon kits last year

Yep... but I had to look up who Holi was (images of the transformation instructions and comparisons are mirrored there as well) - it's the Japanese version of the Micromaster Stakeout.

Holi is about Legends size, at 4,000yen, while Starscream and Metalhawk are almost Voyager size, at 10,000yen. And as with the previous Wonderfest kits, these were licensed by TakaraTomy to be sold only at the Wonderfest.

TFW posted up this link to a youtube Video from Wonderfest, of the toy designer Hisashi Yuki demonstrating the upcoming Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee toy. The video is 5 hours and 20 minutes long(!), so jump to 4 hours and 33 minutes for the segment on Bumblebee.

Seibertron has a nice gallery of some of the Movie The Best toys, and a couple of photos of the upcoming Baldigus combiner.

I wonder if people camped out overnight to get that resin kit... cos then they could say that they had a Stakeout to get Holi.

    I'll see myself out.

I thought Wonderfest usually had (usually black) convention figures. I am getting confused with another Japanese convention?

The Tokyo Toy Show in June is the one that often has the black redecos... this Winter Wonderfest seems to often have these resin kits.
