Can anyone with MP-05, comment on the size difference between the boxes of MP Shockwave and MP Megatron?

    Thanks!

Shockwave is the same size as Soundwave, which is a fair bit shorter than MP-1/mp-5. Much like everything else nowadays, nothing scales with MP-1/MP-5.

Cheers for the scale comparison. I'd assume this is the case with the Takara boxes too? I'm more of a MISB guy and thought it'd be cool to display the boxes together if they were the same size.

For what its worth, while I don't have MP-1 or MP-5, I do have MP-10B and their boxes are the same size.

MP-29 is the same as MP-1 too.
MP-5 is about 5cm wider, 3cm taller, and .5cm deeper.

Most of my MP's are also MISB. I look for symmetry when displaying them but even for people like me that collect only from MP-10 onwards (ie when the scale changed) there is a lot of different box sizes. In fact I count 6 different sizes from MP-10.

    In order of size:

    Optimus Prime (MP-10)
    Ultra Magnus (MP-22), seekers etc
    Shockwave (MP-29), Black Optimus Prime
    Ironhide (MP-27) and Ratchet
Prowl (MP-17) and other Autobot cars
    Cassettes

    But they don't scale together.

Wasn't aware that MP10B was shorter than MP10! So it's not just a straight up redeco then.

I think there's a lot of crossed wires here on box size and figure size.

    He's talking about box size.
