I just saw on one of the global fansites that Walmart had reduced theirs to $109, which might explain the price-match by Amazon.
A good price for anyone here who can't find one for less since the original BigW $198.

It's getting more tempting. but I have an original Trypticon (purchased second hand but in very good condition). I don't' need another.. this is what I'm telling myself.

If I'd been hanging out for an affordable Trypticon for years ( which I personally haven't) I might go for that. It is pretty cool especially given the age of the design but it is still a G1 toy with little or no articulation. In fact due to the mechanised walking neither the arms or legs are pose able.
