I don't really get it, with all the bits and pieces why not just make a new figure. after shipping it's probably going to make a $50 toy close to $100 hardly worth it, especially if it effects articulation at all.

This. I don't get the hate for the generic Hasbro CW OP

I don't think it was hate so much as saying it's not a toy that you'd spend double the cost to upgrade.

Seems fair enough to me, who wants to spend double on something when they could just buy a whole new toy?

Yeah, as good as the upgrade makes the toy, it is isn't really worth the cost when chances are, it won't be as good as a full figure due to inheriting several shortcomings of the base toy.

I've been considering this prime a cheap repaint of Motormaster since it's original reveal. not even worth having in the collection.

In all's fairness, I might even get rid of Prime when I get Motormaster. Prime's mostly been used as a part of Menasor.

I'm actually kinda surprised at how much I like he mould the longer I've had it - I prefer it to the classics version, so if the price is right, I might get this kit. I do want that new chest for Nighbear pictured too.

well, the damn thing was finally released.

Plastic quality doesn't quite match up to the Hasbro figure - edges aren't as sharp, plastic feels a little softer, but the colour match is very close. A nice upgrade I think, helps differentiate him from Battlecore Prime (who I've converted to Thunderclash)

Lightpiping in the heads is awesome - I've chosen the splayed antennae option, but there is one where they're straight up.
