What does that mean - 'bricked'? And does that mean that auction is overpriced for an item that is only good for parts?

When something like a phone, PSP or DS for example is bricked, it means someone has tried to modify it in some way, usually by hacking the Firmware and as such rendered it useless, thus effectively turning it into a brick.
